Payment Arrangements

Carroll Electric realizes members financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis need to have accurate information about alternatives available to prevent an unmanageable build-up of past due balances.

Please call Customer Service at 1.800.432.9720 prior to the due date of your bill to discuss all available payment options:

Payment Extension
A payment extension is an option provided to our customers to assist them in resolving a temporary financial burden. If you are unable to pay your electric bill on or by the due date, you can receive additional time to pay that balance.

Deferred Payment Agreement
A deferred payment arrangement allows you to pay an overdue balance by scheduling a series of payments or installments on future bills that you can financially manage.

Payment Assistance

The LIH
EAP Program

LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a program that provides money to help individuals with energy bills and other energy-related expenses. LIHEAP is funded through the federal government and works with the community action agencies to help customers pay for and keep electric service in their homes.

Arkansas Governor, Asa Hutchinson, recently announced that $8.2 million of CARES Act funding will go toward a new Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. $6.97 million of those funds (85%) will go to a supplemental crisis program that will assist Arkansans who have accumulated larger than normal PAST DUE balances on their utility bills.

Applicants can apply online or by phone through the appropriate Community Action Agency. In order to qualify, applicants will be allowed to submit a past due notice instead of a shutoff notice from their local utility. The revised program will launch Monday, July 27.

Follow this link to find the Community Action Agency listed in your county.
