Heating and Cooling

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), 31% of residential electricity consumption in 2019 was for space heating and cooling alone.

With that being said, it's a smart idea to educate yourself on the most economical operating systems available.

Although there are variations, the majority of households have the following options:

  • Gas Heat - propane or natural gas
  • Electric Heat - electric furnace, heat pump or geothermal heat pump
  • Wood Heat - fireplace, wood stove, outdoor furnace, pellets
  • Electric cooling - window units, centralized systems, heat pumps

With all these options, it can be quite confusing.  Carroll Electric is here to help.  We have the training and expertise to discuss which system(s) is right for you and your energy goals.
