2013 Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. - June 15-20

Don’t miss out on this incredible, life-changing
opportunity. It’s a trip of a lifetime!

This summer, instead of simply hanging out at the pool or watching TV, why not take a trip of a lifetime? If you enter the contest for the 2012 Youth Tour to Washington, you might be chosen to join other high school juniors from across Arkansas on an all-expense paid week-long trip to Washington D.C.

The trip is sponsored by Carroll Electric Cooperative and its sister electric cooperatives throughout the state, known collectively as the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas. The Arkansas group will join electric cooperative-sponsored groups from almost every other state during the week-long event. It is the 22nd year for Arkansas to participate in the Youth Tour.

By plane

The Arkansas group will travel to Washington via commercial airlines. Once in Washington, the students will join about 1,500 students from across the nation who are attending the tour.

On the Youth Tour, history comes alive

On the Youth Tour, you’ll see firsthand historic sites that you’ve only seen on TV or read about in history books. You’ll visit the U.S. Capitol, the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery, Monticello, Mount Vernon, the National Air and Space Museum, the National Cathedral, the Lincoln Memorial and much more.
