Carroll Electric Requirements
Local authorities may have additional requirements.
- If meter loop is on PRIMARY POLE, service wires must be underground.
- Assembled meter loop supplied by member (conduit size shown in table). No thin wall conduit permitted.
- Weatherproof main disconnect required on pole.
- Conduit straps to be sized to the conduit required (3 required).
- Leads from the weatherhead should extend 5' on a primary pole and 2' on a secondary pole.
- All wire in conduit must be stranded THW covered or equivalent.
- No. 6 copper (No. 4 on 200 amp service) from meter base required for bonding to pole ground.
- Member's wire from the main disconnect is required to be in conduit and the conduit must extend a minimum of 18" under finished grade.
